Today I realized that my receipt from the drugstore was a pretty much a direct reflection of my current life situation. Here is what I bought: - Four magazines (Time, Us Weekly, O- with Michelle Obama on the cover! and Vanity Fair) - lipgloss - 5 Lean Cuisine microwave dinners (all the same kind, a frightening chicken/rice combo) - A book of Obama’s inaugural speech - Orange juice (Excellent either at breakfast or in company with vodka. Which, who am I kidding- may be consumed at break

I'm back and a good weekend was had, well, in the main it was, unfortunately the prime purpose of our visit to my parents didn't quite work out as those involved would have chosen but all is not lost, there is a 'plan B' afoot in the near future, which should be more successful. by Pete Davies When reheating food, or cooking small portions, use the microwave instead of the oven or range. How this helps Because it takes so much less time to cook in the microwave, you use a lot less energy — even if the microwave draws more power. According to Energy Star, cooking small portions or reheating food in the microwave can save up to 80% of the energy used if you reheated in the oven. Last week, I was forwarded this interesting cake recipe from a co-worker and thought I'd share with the WWE `ohana. It's not only quick and easy, but delicious too. A few days later, the same co-worker actually brought the ingredients to work to make it as a mid-day snack. Needless to say, a crowd - interested to see this magical recipe in action - formed and excited chatter ensued. I hope y'all can enjoy this one with family and friends too... 5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE 4 tablespoons flo

Mitch and I are finally doing something with our kitchen! It's been in the plans since last year and I'm so excited that we're finally in the execution part. Of course this is the messiest, most stressful part but I can't wait to step on my new tile floor and prep food in my new granite countertop and put my stuff away in my new oak style cabinets. I know I've been saying my new alot but Mitch has been so kind to let me pick all the things so far. I'm telling you, it's going to be great!!!! He

When Srivalli called for guest hosting her Microwave Easy Cooking Event , I did not give it a thought at all. But when she personally mailed me asking if I would be interested to host, I did not want to say 'No' and agreed for the first available month. And got my chance to host for Feb.
